A Single Teaspoon Can Empty More Than 15 Pounds Of Waste From Your Colon

Constipation is one of the most common and unpleasant health issues nowadays which unfortunately may affect babies as well.
It is characterized by heaviness and pain in the stomach caused by feces buildup in the intestines. Although this isn’t a life-threatening condition, it can be very harmful to the overall health.
The best way to deal with this problem is to use natural remedies that can encourage the bowel movement and effectively eliminate the stool.
It is of utmost importance to keep the health of the colon because this organ facilitates the process of digestion. When it is dirty and full of stool we usually suffer from dizziness, stomach pain, constipation, diarrhea, fatigue, bad breath, weak immune system, headaches, lack of appetite, nausea, and inflammation of the abdomen.
Common causes of constipation
There are two major reasons for this health issue – poor diet and sedentary lifestyle. The intake of junk food and the lack of physical activity can affect the function of the digestive system. However, there are other diet-related factors as well which can also lead to constipation:
  • Consuming food high in sugar and fat
  • High intake of dairy products
  • Poor intake of water and other fluids
  • Consuming foods low in fiber
  • Drinking too much alcohol or coffee
  • Delaying the urge for defecation for a more convenient time
Taking certain medications, such as antidepressants, anticonvulsants, narcotics, blood pressure medications and supplements.
Sometimes, constipation can be a symptom of another health issue. Certain diseases and conditions can trigger constipation, for example:
  • Hyperthyroidism
  • Stroke
  • Parkinson’s disease
